The Network for the Conference Industry

The Global Conference Network (GCN) has been established to provide quality information and events for the global conference industry. We aim to facilitate dialogue and strategic thinking amongst the world’s conference companies through a variety of different forums and channels. Through events, education and industry wide projects we are looking to facilitate best practice within the conference industry and provide an industry wide voice to external organisations including educational institutions, suppliers and government bodies.

The Global Conference Network was formed by Rory Ross Russell and Claire Wormsley who both have over 20 years of experience in the commercial conference world and who both run their own conference and training businesses. Rory and Claire joined forces in 2009 to create the Conference Awards which was the forerunner to the establishment of the Global Conference Network in 2011.

What the network does

Our flagship event is the Conference Awards. Over 400 conference professionals attended the inaugarul event, held in London in 2010, where Ruby Wax hosted the Awards ceremony which celebrated industry achievements. In 2011, 550 professionals joined Michael Portillo to celebrate their success and innovation over the previous 12 months. The feedback we received from the awards has prompted us to build a larger portfolio of products and services for this industry niche. Who do we represent

The Global Conference Network is for everyone who is involved in organising commercial conferences and events which generate revenue either through delegate fees or sponsorship including;- conference companies - publishing houses - training companies - associations - charities. We have events and information for everyone involved in conferences whether as producers, marketers, operations, sales, event managers or senior management.
